But, how do you know? - Third party attestation on quality and competence through best recognized accreditation programs in which we participate represents our ongoing commitment for quality excellence.

LHD Reference Laboratory is accredited by the “College of American Pathologists” (CAP). Holding the CAP accreditation, which is a Gold Standard laboratory accreditation in the world, means that our laboratories comply with rigorous scientific standards to maintain accuracy of test results to ensure accurate patient diagnosis. This accreditation covers the entire spectrum of laboratory tests with a scientifically rigorous checklist of approximately 3000 requirements which are revised annually.

LHD is also the first hospital laboratory to be granted the ISO 15189 laboratory accreditation by the Sri Lanka Accreditation Board.

College of American Pathologists (CAP)

Lanka Hospitals Laboratories is accredited by the prestigious College of American Pathologists (CAP), recognized as the global Gold Standard for laboratory accreditation. This distinction signifies that our laboratories meet the most rigorous scientific standards, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results for precise patient diagnoses. CAP accreditation encompasses the entire range of laboratory testing, with a comprehensive checklist of approximately 3,000 stringent requirements, updated annually to maintain the highest levels of quality and compliance.

Sri Lanka Accreditation Board (SLAB)

The Sri Lanka Accreditation Board (SLAB), as the National Accreditation Authority of Sri Lanka, is responsible for promoting accreditation activities and providing essential accreditation services across various sectors. In terms of hospital accreditations, Lanka Hospitals Laboratories proudly stands as the leading hospital in Sri Lanka to be awarded this prestigious award, reaffirming its commitment to maintaining the highest standards in healthcare services.
